Working together

Collective 55 is an independent, specialized artist residency program in Pakistan, founded by Qasim Bugti, an artist and curator based in Karachi who holds a BFA in Fine Arts, specializing in Miniature Painting, from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore. The program creates meaningful spaces for artists to pause, research, develop their practice, and engage with a supportive artistic community, while mentoring emerging contemporary artists in Pakistan.

ChrysArte collaborates with Collective 55 on residency initiatives that bring together artists from different backgrounds, fostering meaningful exchange, conversation and collaboration.

The partnership is rooted in a shared belief that artists need time and space to engage deeply with ideas, place and one another, without the immediate pressure to produce work. Together, ChrysArte and Collective 55 develop residency experiences that contribute to a more active and supportive contemporary art ecosystem in Pakistan and beyond.

ChrysArte Awards is an independent awards platform created by ChrysArte to recognise artists at different stages of their artistic development and create pathways towards greater visibility and opportunity.

From emerging and young artists to established practitioners and artists working across different contexts, the awards provide opportunities for recognition, exhibition, professional development and connection with wider audiences.

The platform forms an important part of ChrysArte's broader commitment to supporting artists beyond individual exhibitions and countries, creating opportunities that can contribute to longer-term artistic growth and professional visibility.
